What Did We Eat from Din Tai Fung?

Taipei DIN TAI FUNG RESTAURANT

You don’t need to choose everyone by the marked items, like fried rice. They will make a certain amount depending on the number of people, except for a fixed number of buns and dumplings.

Now share what dishes we have eaten. We didn’t eat much that day because my mother didn’t eat much, so we used this combination: Appetizers, Buns, Dumplings, Soup, Dessert.

After you enter the restaurant, they will give you a menu. You are entirely free to choose any dish you want. The waiter will order for you and check out after eating.

In most cases, as long as it is close to mealtime, there must be many people outside the restaurant. So you must follow the line. Taipei Din Tai Fung is very famous and almost all of them, so I suggest you come early or come off the peak time.

In this order, there are appetizers and main dishes for desserts. Then, of course, popular dishes can be tasted because this day is the second time. I took some photos to show you what these authentic Taiwanese foods look like. Basically, the appearance of Chinese food looks like these photos:

Cold Dressed Wood Ear Mushrooms

COLD DRESSED WOOD EAR MUSHROOMS

It tastes very refreshing and has a taste of vinegar and ginger. The vinegar taste can just be an appetizer. Other side dishes can also be delicious, such as cucumber is also a good choice.

Golden Lave Buns

GOLDEN LAVE BUNS

The texture of golden quicksand is presented from this bun, which is cool and fresh. It tastes like egg yolk sweetness and is suitable for both appetizers and desserts. The buns are also hot and soft, and they are all steamed now. Be careful to bite them because this bun will spray juice and then look like this photo.

Steamed Vegetarian Mushroom Dumplings

Steamed dumplings are one of the Chinese food not to be missed. We ordered meat in another dish, so we chose Steamed Vegetarian Mushroom Dumplings suitable for vegetarians. The dumplings have flexible skin.

They bite solidly and are filled with shallots. Among the dumplings, Steamed Shrimp & Pork Dumplings is the most ordered. There are shrimps in the dumplings, which you can try.

Pork Xiaolongbao

PORK XIAOLONGBAO

Xiaolongbao is also one of the Chinese foods not to be missed. Pork Xiaolongbao is the most classic dish, in my opinion, and worth ordering! The very delicious pork stuffing accompanied by the soup in Xiaolongbao is fantastic. This has to be bitten carefully; it will drain the soup or stain your clothes.

One way to eat is to bite a little bit, drink the soup inside, then swallow the whole Xiaolongbao and chew Shredded Pork in your mouth, and enjoy the taste of Pork. I’ve fallen in love with this dish after trying it; I can eat this every day!

Snow Mushroom Sweet Soup

SNOW MUSHROOM SWEET SOUP

This is also one of the classic dishes in Chinese food; it is a sweeter soup and can also be used as a dessert. The transparent shape is Snow Mushroom; it is often cooked with lotus seeds. Both are health-preserving materials and very healthy. Many older people in Chinese society would drink this sweet soup as health care.

Snow Mushroom Sweet Soup was ancient in China. It is a soup that only the emperor can drink, but you can drink this top-class at Din Tai Fung! Worth ordering.

Overall

I am delighted with Din Tai Fung’s dishes, and almost everyone is delicious. I remember the first time I ordered Pork Xiaolongbao, Braised Beef Noodle Soup, and Shrimp Fried Rice with my friends. Among them, Pork Xiaolongbao impressed me the most.

This is my second visit to Din Tai Fung, so you see that I ordered Pork again. Xiaolongbao, of course, you can also try any dish you want. In the end, I must say that Taiwanese food is fantastic. You must NOT miss Din Tai Fung restaurant during your trip to Taiwan. Of course, other Taiwan food restaurants will write & introduce you later.
